Red State (2011) - 5/10
This film is based on a couple of real religious sects, mostly the Branch Davidians and the gun battle that happened at Waco. Now, I may not be particularly religious, but I don't recall there being a fable in the bible in which Jesus arms himself with an AK-47 and goes about healing people's souls by murderfucking them in the face with 600 rounds per minute of led. But maybe I missed that one. Either way, this sort of shit actually happened and will no doubt happen again, as there are some proper lunatics running around and doing erratic shit in God's name.
