The Mechanic (2011) - 7/10
Jason Statham and Ben Foster get their Batman and Robin on; fancy cars, bullets to the face, explosions and kung-fu. Throw in an inevitable shirt removal scene and a couple of witty one-liners and what you've got is a celebration of arse-kicking. Some actors worry about being typecast, but Statham embraced it some time ago, squeezing the life out of it then walking off into the sunset with its woman. He's like what James Bond would be if James Bond wasn't such a fucking girly boy.
