Someone told me that this film was an 'epic journey'. Well, it's not. You want to know about an epic journey? How about the journey taken by a single grain of rice, grown in a paddy field in the Middle Yangtze Region of China? It's hand milled, parboiled, talced, transported over thousands of miles of difficult terrain, boated across seas and flown in to factories. From there it's treated and bagged and eventually arrives in my kitchen, and ultimately, because I can't use a fork properly, it ends up on the floor. What a fucking waste.
