Sorry We Missed You (2019) - 4/10
This should be right up my street 'cause I usually love proper misery like this. It's all about the struggles and stresses of life; zero-hour contracts, nob'ead bosses, misbehaving children, an unhappy marriage and all the suffering that comes with being poor and constantly on the edge. Sadly this is the case for many families living in Britain, and it's only getting worse under the Tory government. However, I found the acting to be pretty awful and no-one to be entirely convincing in their role. If you're delivery misery, it has to feel genuine and I have to care for those involved, neither of which were the case here.
