To be honest, I really enjoyed this movie, brilliant special effects, reasonable acting from a younger cast, the inevitable appearance of Leonard Nimoy, all in all a good quality Trekky movie that stand up against and even exceeds the rest.

Ok lets just get something straight, I'm no Trekkie (not even the Wrath of Khan, no), absol-fuckin-utely not, I'm a Star Wars fan, I may even accept the term Star Wars geek (we are talking original triology here not that new shite) but and it pains me to say this, this is a quality movie, I wanted it to be all the things the others where, namely camp, shit and hammy but it wasnt, it rocked and it rocked hard, loved every single cgi-filled second!!

I never watched Star Trek, but this is very good. The storyline is easy to follow, entertaining and there's loads of explosions. What more do you want from a sci-fi film?
