Fucked up and french comes to mind when I watched this film. This is directed and written by Gasper Noe (the guy who directed irreversible. Violent and shocking in parts with some real moments that make viewers feel really uneasy. If you like irreversible then this is well worth watching.

Bring a whole new meaning to FML. A movie about The Butcher, one of Noe's staple characters (in his short films + the old guy in the flat at the start of Irreversible). In a nut shell the butcher is fresh out of jail, his life is a mess, he tries to rebuild with his mistress but cant deal with it all and returns to Paris where it all goes downhill very very quickly. Typically french in its brutallity, dark though thought provoking. Another one probably best watched alone.
