"You are pukes, you are the lowest form of life on earth, you are not even human fucking beings, you are nothing but unorganised rabastic pieces of amphibian shit !!" I mean come on, thats absolute put down poetry.. The Gunnery Sergeant's quotes are by far the best part of the film but yano what, you dont mind cause they really are that good..Now sound off like you got a pair !!

The theme behind this film is that bullying is bad, because if you bully someone too much they will go batshit crazy and shoot you fucking dead. Unfortunately, once the basic training is over and they actually get to Vietnam it gets a little stale. Some of Gunnery Sergeant Hartman's put downs are exceptional.

Its hard to give this a 10 but it is a brilliant film, it does go slightly down hill after boot camp, however because of Gunery Sergant Hartman alone this gets a 9. "Are you quitting on me? Well, are you? Then quit, you slimy fucking walrus-looking piece of shit! Get the fuck off of my obstacle!" class!

"I wanted to meet stimulating and interesting people of an ancient culture, and kill them. I wanted to be the first kid on my block to get a confirmed kill." Follows a soldier from the joys of boot camp to the front line, from the bullshit to the true horrors of war. Show stealing performance from the Drill Sgt though, worth watching if just to listen to his wonderful abuse.
