Joker (2019) - 7/10
Anyone who's ever seen any Batman tale has wondered to themselves how the Joker turned out the way he did. Well this is the origin story we've all been waiting for. Joaquin Phoenix, as always, plays the role exceptionally well (although I preferred Heath Ledger's Joker) and the story - given the fictional narrative of Gotham city - is plausable. It's very much Marmite though, I imagine. Some people will hate it; your girlfriend/wife especially.
