Irréversible (2002) - 7/10
There's a common theme with these French film makers. They seem to enjoy beating your soul to death with a big fuck-off garlic-smelling cinematic baguette. All that nasty shit that happens in the world that we all try to keep out of sight and out of mind, these pricks bring it to the fore and make a movie out of it. This is a very good film, but the scene in the subway is just too brutal. I genuinely had to look away from the screen. Certainly not a film for the ladies.

"Events over the course of one traumatic night in Paris unfold in reverse-chronological order as the beautiful Alex is brutally raped and beaten by a stranger in the underpass..." Awesome revenge flick, such a well filmed movie, great cinematrography in parts, shot in reverse, the siren sound at the beginning gets into your soul. My bird vacates the building each time I watch this, sick twisted, but fucking awesomely shot. The ending is so unfortunately twisted.The rape scene is horrific!!

An outstanding movie showing all the things you dont want to happen to you or anyone you know on a night out. Shown in reverse (which doesnt make it any easier) with weird and purposely freaky camera work. Not to mention the low bass noise that is used to 'upset' the audience through the film. A great movie but beware, the one shot subway scene is brutal, unwatchable and will have you questioning why you didnt just turn it off.
