Nocturnal Animals (2016) - 7/10
I liked this film for the same reason that I went out with so many Goths in my teens: it's different. Well, at least that's what I used to say when asked. It was a lie, of course; I went out with Goths because they do the most disgusting things in the bedroom and when you're 17 that's what ultimately matters. But yeah, this is different to most films and is fairly edge of the seat stuff. The end was pretty fucking bizarre but still, I enjoyed it. Plus, we're all well aware that authors are often fucking weirdos anyway and this leans toward that conclusion.
