Mud (2012) - 6/10
This reminded me a lot of Stand By Me, because it's about the adventure of childhood and one of the child actors is the spitting image of River Pheonix. Ridiculously so. Obviously this isn't as good, but it has that sharp roughness to it that only films about poor people can have. Their lives are just so different to mine. They consider some cold beans out the can a good meal whereas I only really enjoy my food when I know at least two animals have died during its preparation.
